Key Drivers of AI

The Magnificent Seven

The Magnificent Seven are seven of the world's most influential technology companies: NVIDIA, Microsoft, Alphabet (Google), Amazon, Meta, Apple and Tesla. Together, they play an important role in the development and commercial adoption of artificial intelligence.

Their activities span the AI economy, from the processors needed to train AI models and the cloud infrastructure used to operate them, to software, consumer devices and autonomous machines.

Although their businesses differ, each is investing in AI technologies that could strengthen existing products or create new sources of revenue.

Beyond the Magnificent Seven

The companies behind the chips

Micron and TSMC are not part of the Magnificent Seven, but both are central to AI infrastructure: one supplies the memory beside every AI processor, the other manufactures the processors themselves.

The Magnificent Seven illustrate how AI is influencing multiple industries, from semiconductors and cloud computing to consumer technology and autonomous systems. Our research examines how these developments affect individual businesses, their financial performance and their long-term investment potential.

Understanding the AI economy

Company figures are the latest full-year results each company had published as of 26 October 2026. Financial year-end dates differ between companies, so the period is shown beside each figure. Each figure is labelled as total company revenue or business-unit revenue; none represents revenue generated solely by AI, which most companies do not report separately. Market capitalisation share is approximate (Charles Schwab (opens in a new tab), August 2026) and changes daily with share prices.
